Helen Mutale

Helen is a missionary worker from Copse Road Chapel who has been working in Zambia since her call to missionary work in July 1994. Born in Scotland and brought up in a Christian home, Helen was converted at the age of 12. When she left school she entered the fashion industry working in a department store owned by House of Fraser. She remained in this trade for 16 years until she felt a call to work for the Lord.

While Helen was already involved in youth work and Sunday School in church she desired to work full time for God. She prayed hard about it and took a step of faith when she resigned from her job and went to college to study nursery nursing for 2 years. Helen lived in Clevedon for 4 years, during which time she worked for the George Muller foundation.

Through Echoes of Service Helen was offered a place at Hillwood orphanage in Zambia. She worked there until October 2010 when she married. She and her husband, Mutale, are planning to build a children's home which will be called Mama and Papa' Mutale's Children's Home.
